RGF lithostratigraphic map
Lithostratigraphic units data from the RGF scientiffic projects provide the knowledge in terms of geometry, nature and age of the geological units. The classification of lithostratigraphic units is divided into supergroup, group, subgroup and formation / member.

The formations/members are based on the work undertaken from not harmonized geological maps at 1/50K scale. The subgroup/group/supergroup scales result from the merge of the GIS polygons thanks to a precise hierarchy made in the database.
